Straight Window Bars

Straight window bars – if bars, then only from SoragDoor

Window bars have long become a must in every home. Straight bars protect against burglars and keep children from falling, and they come in a variety of shades, shapes and designs. It is not enough to buy bars – it is important to buy quality, safe bars that will protect you for years. Looking for straight window bars? Contact SoragDoor: experience, knowledge and dedicated personal service are the secret of our success.

Terms worth knowing

Straight bars sit flush with the window line.

Belly bars protrude outward, leaving space between window and bars for planters and other objects.

Folding bars suit small windows and doors: they fold away to open the window fully, with special locks that prevent break-ins.

Designed bars carry decorative patterns – suitable for children’s rooms, living rooms, kitchens and more. Both straight and belly bars can be designed.

Straight bars – how much do they cost?

The price of straight bars depends on several parameters.

Folding bars are the most expensive; designed bars cost more than plain ones.

Price also depends on rod thickness – the thicker, the more expensive. The average is twelve millimeters, but on a ground or first floor it is recommended to choose fourteen millimeters for extra protection.

Paint quality matters too: standard silicone-based paint is the cheapest, while higher-grade painting that lasts many years raises the price.

Suspiciously low quotes should raise a red flag: bars are a safety product, and inexperienced installers often compete on price alone. Do not settle for less than the best.

Straight bars and the Israeli standard

The Israeli Standards Institute publishes a standard for bars, though it is currently a recommendation rather than binding.

Gaps between rods must not exceed ten centimeters – small enough that a child cannot insert their head.

No opening should be under three centimeters in diameter, so a child’s hand cannot get caught.

Bars must be welded and rust-resistant; unframed bars can gradually deteriorate and fail.

The frame of the bars must be at least two and a half centimeters thick so that it can properly support the weight of the bars.

How to choose quality straight bars

Make sure the bars are galvanized – coated with a zinc layer that protects against rust and corrosion and keeps them strong for years.

Bars finished with electrostatic (car-grade) painting do not require galvanizing – the coating seals hermetically against moisture, preventing rust.

Quality bars can save lives. SoragDoor produces high-quality bars at attractive prices – contact us for a quote.

Installation skill can be the difference between a safe product and a hazard. Bars should be mounted on a proper frame – about two and a half millimeters thick – rather than attached directly to the window, and manufactured to the Israeli standard. Choose a professional, skilled installer.

The material must be rust-resistant and strong enough to bear real weight – so the bars cannot be pushed out of the window or easily sawn by burglars.
